GNI sponsors Toronto Fest Naturist Celebration!

===>  JUNE 2025  <===

Celebrating naturism with our Canadian Brothers

GNI has partnered with other naturist organizations to bring you two events in Toronto - a beach day in June and our inaugural signature event in July. We would love to see you there and to have you celebrate with us!

Suns Out, Buns Out -- Naturist Beach Day -- June 21, 2025

Friends of Hanlan’s has invited GNI to celebrate Naturist Beach Day at Hanlan’s Beach Point on June 21, 2025 from 11 AM to Sunset.

Hanlan’s Point Beach is one of the oldest and largest official nude beaches in the world. For generations, the clothing-optional culture made it feel different—more relaxed, more respectful, more free. That’s the vibe people came for. That’s what built the community.

But that culture doesn’t maintain itself. In recent years, it’s been slipping, and fewer people feel safe or comfortable being nude.

Naturist Beach Day is your chance to help turn that around. Show up. Take up space. Be part of rebuilding a beach where nudity is normal, consent is expected, and respect is the baseline—not the exception.

Logistics:

• Hanlan’s Point Beach, Toronto
• Saturday, June 21, 2025
• Rain date Sunday, June 22
• Find your GNI brethren by the GNI banner
• See below for how to reach Hanlan’s Point Beach by ferry or water taxi
• Find out more about the Friends of Hanlan’s on their Instagram account Friendsofhanlans

===>  JUIN 2025  <===

===>  JULY 2025  <===

This is GNI’s inaugural event in Canada. We have three activities planned for you. We are partnering with Friends of Hanlan’s and Toronto Nude Dudes to bring you this opportunity to celebrate nudism and freedom!

July 19, 2025

Hanlan’s Point Beach

A beach day at Hanlan’s Point Beach. We will be at the beach from 10 AM to 3 PM. We will gather at the far end of the beach where gay nudists gather. Look for the GNI banner to find us and join us!

Logistics:

• Hanlan’s Point Beach, Toronto
• Saturday, July 19, 2025
• Find your GNI brethren by the GNI banner at the gay end of the beach
• See below for how to reach Hanlan’s Point Beach by ferry or water taxi

Church Street Pub Crawl and Dinner

After we leave Hanlan’s (and have time to shower and recover), we’ll meet in downtown Toronto in the heart of the gay village for casual connection. We will find food and drinks in the area. We may hit gay village hot spots like Woody’s, Garage, O’Grady’s, and Cherie Bistro.

The pub crawl will be led by Robbie and his volunteers.

It’s an opportunity to connect with other gay men that did not or could not join us earlier in the day at Hanlan’s Point Beach. We can share the GNI experience with others who have never had a chance to attend The Gathering and answer any questions about our group. Most importantly, it’s a chance to refuel because the night is just starting.

Logistics:

• We will meet at Woody's, 467 Church St, Toronto, (Ontario)
• We will meet around 6:00 pm
• If you have questions or need help, please reach out to Robbie at 613-882-0665

Naked Dance Party at The Lair

Toronto Nude Dudes is hosting a naked dance party sponsored by GNI. The party starts at 9:00 pm and continues until 3:00 am. This party is open to all male nudists, not just current GNI members, so be sure to bring your friends with you!!! Can there ever be too many naked men?

There will be a small charge at the door. Tickets: $20 in advance; $25 day-of.

GNI will cover the cost of your first drink (drink tickets at the door). You will be able to check your clothes when you arrive. GNI will have a table with more information about our group, and the Toronto Nude Dudes will also have a table with information about their group.

The dance party is both a nudist and sex positive event so be prepared to come (cum)!!

Logistics:

• Event time: 9 PM to 3 AM
• Event location: The Lair, 240 Parliament St, Toronto (Ontario)
• $20.00 in advance; $25.00 day-of

Other Considerations

Friends of Hanlan’s is a grassroots, volunteer-led group dedicated to protecting Hanlan’s Point Beach - one of the few official clothing-optional beaches in North America and the oldest and most significant queer space in Canada. For nearly a century, Hanlan’s has been a sanctuary for LGBTQ+ communities, a rare ecological corridor, and a gathering place where nudity, nature, and queer freedom intersect. We work to defend the beach from commercialization and erasure, and to ensure it remains an inclusive, accessible, and community-led public space.

Getting to Hanlan’s from Downtown Toronto

Head to Hanlan’s Point Docks using:

1) Ferry ($9.11 round trip) from Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street.
2) Water taxi ($13.50 one way) from the foot of Yonge St (TDOT Water Taxi), from foot of York St (Toronto Harbour Water Taxi), or from Spadina Ave (Tiki Taxi). If you take the water taxi over to Hanlan’s, you can take the ferry back for free.

Once at Hanlan’s Point Docks, walk south and eventually veer right after the airport. Enter at Trail 3. The walk is about 1 km/12 minutes. Washrooms, snacks, and a licensed patio are available at The Mermaid Cafe near the road at Trail 4.

===>  JUILLET 2025  <===

Logistique:

• Woody's, 467 Church St, Toronto (Ontario)
• 6:00 pm
• Robbie at 613-882-0665

Logistique:

• Heure : de 21 h à 3 h
• Endroit : The Lair, 240 rue Parliament, Toronto (Ontario)

Important Travel Tips:

  • Book Early! July is a popular time to visit Toronto, and availability for the requested dates (July 18-21, 2025) might be limited, especially for budget options. Prices can also fluctuate.
  • Transportation: Downtown Toronto is very walkable, and its excellent public transit system (TTC - subway, streetcar, bus), Taxis, Rideshares like Uber and Lyft, as well as bicycle or scooter rentals.

Toronto is served by two main airports: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), primarily for international and many US flights, and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), mainly for regional Canadian and some US flights. Both offer convenient ways to reach downtown.

For Travellers Flying into Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ):

  • UP Express (Union Pearson Express): This is the fastest and most popular option. The UP Express train connects directly from Terminal 1 at Pearson to Union Station in downtown Toronto in just 25 minutes. Trains depart every 15-20 minutes, seven days a week.
  • Taxis and Rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.): Taxis are readily available at designated stands outside the terminals. Ridesharing services also operate from Pearson with designated pick-up areas. Travel time can vary depending on traffic, but typically ranges from 25-45 minutes.
  • Public Transit (TTC Buses): For a more budget-friendly option, express TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) buses connect Pearson to the subway system, allowing you to reach downtown. This option will take longer than the UP Express.

For Travellers Flying into Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ):

  • Complimentary Shuttle Bus: Billy Bishop Airport offers a free shuttle bus service that connects the airport (after taking the pedestrian tunnel or short ferry ride to the mainland) directly to Union Station in downtown Toronto. Shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes.
  • Taxis and Rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.): Taxis are available at the mainland terminal, and ridesharing services operate from the airport as well. Due to the airport's close proximity to downtown, taxi/rideshare rides are usually very short (around 5-15 minutes).
  • Public Transit (TTC Streetcars): After crossing to the mainland (via pedestrian tunnel or ferry), you can easily access TTC streetcars (509 Harbourfront or 511 Bathurst) that connect to the subway system and various downtown locations, including Union Station.
