The GNI Gathering in 2021

After much discussion and consideration, the GNI Board of Directors has elected to hold an event in the summer of 2021. COVID-19 protocols will be in effect and every measure will be taken to ensure the health and safety of our guests. We encourage the public to read everything we've published on our website for more information and to keep checking back for updates as we know that many things can change over the course of six months. You can find more information on our website under The Gathering link.

An Important Message from Gay Naturists International (GNI) - Cancellation of this year's Gathering

As the world continues to be impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, our hearts go out to all who've been affected - their family, their friends, and their loved ones. No longer are there just anonymous numbers being reported daily; numbers have become the names of people we know and love. At the onset of the pandemic, GNI assured everyone that our first priority and responsibility during this time is for the health and safety of our members and Gathering attendees. Our commitment holds true to that promise today.

Over the past few months, GNI has been closely monitoring governmental authorities with the situation of COVID-19 and have been in lengthy talks with the camp. After much consideration, we have made the decision to cancel this year's event in

All confirmed registrants will receive a full refund; no cancellation fees will be withheld. If you've paid by credit card, your refund will appear on your bank statement within 3-5 business days after we start to process cancellations. If you paid by check or money order, your refund will be mailed to you within 10-15 business days.

GNI will take this year off to ensure the health and well-being of everyone and will reorganize our 35th Anniversary celebration next year. Keep the dates in your calendar: August 20 - 29, 2021.

The Board of Directors and Staff will invite you to join us in one of our Zoom online meetings to be scheduled at a later date to address your questions and concerns. We anticipate that those meetings will be scheduled in the next week or so.

GNI will take this year off to ensure the health and well-being of everyone and will reorganize our 35th Anniversary celebration next year. Keep the dates in your calendar: August 20 - 29, 2021.

Wishing you the best of health. Until next year.

GNI President, Nick R. sends video message to GNI members and friends with the latest update on COVID-19 and our summer event - The Gathering (Naked Camp).

~ April 07, 2020

The world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). GNI believes it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize two things: the health and well-being of our members and Gathering attendees while also playing a constructive role in supporting local health and government officials as they work to contain the virus. To that end, we would like to make a formal announcement:

Gay Naturists International (GNI’s) 35th Anniversary Gathering – GNI’s Naked Camp - will take place as planned August 21-30, 2020 in eastern Pennsylvania. GNI is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of attendees in light of concerns about COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus.

We are closely monitoring developments and staying abreast of updates from health organizations responsible for tracking and responding to the virus, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Australian Department of Health.

GNI is prepared to rapidly respond to any issues prior to our event and provide assistance as the need arises before August 21. We are taking the following actions to prepare:

  • Adhering to all guidance and recommended safety measures issued by the WHO, CDC, the Pennsylvania Department of Health Services, and local health organizations.
  • Working with the Gathering’s venue to coordinate appropriate safety procedures.
  • Following CDC recommendations and protocols for heightened cleanliness at event facilities, including increasing the number of hand sanitizing stations located throughout the venue.
  • Actively encouraging attendees to take common-sense precautions and follow CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of illness.

GNI is taking COVID-19 very seriously and is fully engaged and prepared to host a successful 35th Anniversary Gathering.

While no one can predict with certainty how severe the impact of coronavirus will be in five months, we will be constantly monitoring the situation. We encourage attendees to visit the CDC website and government websites of their own country for additional information and follow the WHO’s Travel Advice as they consider their travel arrangements, as well as its recommendations for protecting themselves. In addition, we will be closely monitoring all travel alerts issued by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the coming months, if any.

Thank you for being a loyal member and supporter of GNI. It is our intent to remain transparent, providing the latest information from GNI here. We’re very grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to seeing you in August.
